HOYA PRODUCTIONS IS A VANCOUVER-BASED PRODUCTION COMPANY CREATED BY AUSTRALIAN-CANADIAN, PETER STEEL.
I have almost two decades of experience in broadcast television as an Award-Winning EDITOR, DIRECTOR, CREATIVE PRODUCER, STORY EDITOR, AND WRITER. First and foremost though, my passion is for creative, enlightening story-telling through the ART OF EDITING. I am known for being an Editor with very strong story-crafting skills, and I have a particularly strong interest in Documentary which leans into Travel & Adventure, World History, Politics, Natural Environment, Urban Design, Automotive, and authentic people and places that inspire.
My goal is to create content that opens hearts and minds.
My career has included internationally-aired programming for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL, HISTORY CHANNEL, CBC TELEVISION, ABC NETWORK, GLOBAL, KNOWLEDGE NETWORK, NINE NETWORK AUSTRALIA, SMITHSONIAN CHANNEL, ANIMAL PLANET, LIFETIME, OPRAH WINFREY NETWORK, W NETWORK, BIOGRAPHY CHANNEL, YTV, SLICE, OLN, YOUTUBE RED, and NETFLIX.
Most recently, I have Edited “Power Rising - Part Two” for Vancouver Canucks, a Four-Part Documentary Series about Organ Transplants for Knowledge Network, and I am currently Editor & Finishing Editor for the second season of “Bush Wreck Rescue” for The CW & Discovery Channel.
